Goldfinch and Sunflower: We have a number of sunflowers lined up on our back deck and have been watching the last several weeks as the goldfinches land on them and eat the seeds. They inspired this painting!
The goldfinch and sunflower are painted on clear acrylic substrate and sealed with a clear, gloss varnish. It is then placed over stretched upholstery fabric that is painted. Both parts are then held together in a handmade and hand-painted wooden frame. With the frame, the painting measures 13.5″x14.5″. It is wired and ready to hang.
