Chickadee and Pinecones: As has been the case with my most recent paintings, this is painted on both clear acrylic substrate (ie the glass) and upholstery fabric. The black-capped chickadee and pinecones are painted on the glass with acrylic paint, while the background is painted on stretched upholstery fabric. That swirling design in the teal is the fabric’s pattern. The substrate is sealed with a gloss vanish while the entire piece is mounted together inside a handmade and hand-painted wooden frame.
