]]> Bat-Man and Robin – I’ve been a Batman fan since I was about 8 years old – Batman and comic books are what got me into art. After years now of painting various birds and woodland creatures, I thought I would take a shot at my favorite hero.

Presenting “Bat-Man and Robin,” my latest painting. Taking a cue from Bob Kane’s spoof sketch of a bat in a suit from Burton’s movie, my Bat-Man is joined by a true robin. The painting is acrylics on stretched upholstery fabric and measures 12.25”x12.25” in my handcrafted frame. And yes, that is a tiny bat symbol on his jacket’s lapel.

From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come) – “From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come)” is my latest painting and it’s my largest to date, measuring 29”x26,” featuring a very small subject: a hummingbird.

The painting is acrylics on stretched upholstery fabric. In this case, the beautiful floral pattern was the perfect background for this ruby-throated hummingbird.
