Castle Hill Lighthouse in the Passing Storm

Castle Hill Lighthouse in the Passing Storm – I recently went home to my hometown of West Chester, PA and made time to stop by the Brandywine Art Museum to take in some of the Wyeth clan’s art. I somehow had never been and it was awesome! N.C.’s amazing work fueled my inspiration for these puffy clouds!

Castle Hill Lighthouse in the passing of a storm, this is now my third painting/drawing of this lighthouse that’s located in Newport, RI. I love the stones that make it up. Acrylic paints on upholstery fabric, you can see the pattern and texture of the fabric coming though – there’s a curl in the design that almost makes a giant wave cutting through the clouds and coming towards the lighthouse. The painting measures 11″x14″.

The original painting has sold, but you can purchase a matted print on my Etsy shop here, here.
