Cardinals in Winter Wind – I’ve drawn and painted a number of cardinals over the years, but none on fabric, so I stretched a larger canvas of fabric to really get that whirling wind feeling of the fabric’s pattern and went to work. The result is is a striking painting of these two cardinals enduring the whipping wind, their red and orange feathers popping against the cool blue background.

This is acrylic paint on stretched upholstery fabric. It measures 20″ x 16″.
