Hummingbird & Flowers – This latest painting was an experiment. I started with some upholstery fabric with flower print, built my frame and stretched the fabric like I would a canvas, and then painted the hummingbird. Form there, I painted the background to bring the whole thing together with a cohesive palette. The end result of the experiment, has left me with a beautiful and unique painting. I believe I will be painting another!
